Architecture — Service
Architectural photography
A photograph of a building should show not only what it looks like, but also why it was designed exactly this way.
What I photograph
- Public and commercial buildings
- Residential architecture
- Façades, materials and details
- Buildings in the context of street and landscape
- Completed projects for competitions, publications and practice portfolios
Architectural photography from an elevated perspective
Some buildings need space above the bustle of the street. From an elevated perspective, the building immediately becomes the focal point of the frame, while settling calmly into the noise and rhythm of the city.
These views show the building together with its surroundings: the roof, the courtyard, the layout of the block, its relationship with the street and greenery. They work well for competitions, investment presentations and campaigns. I take them as part of an architectural shoot, alongside street-level views.
How I work
Conversation and brief
The building, the purpose of the photographs, timing, file types and licence. Everything we agree on goes into the brief.
Plan
Time of day and direction of light, a shot list and, if needed, a site visit. We also agree in advance what happens if the weather doesn't cooperate: we wait for better conditions, or I shoot in the conditions as they are.
Shoot
At dawn, in full sun or at blue hour, depending on the building.
Editing
Retouching and files in the format agreed in the brief. I keep vertical lines straight in camera, with tilt-shift lenses, rather than correcting them in post-production.
Who it's for
- Architecture practices
- Developers
- General contractors
- Manufacturers of building materials and systems
- Advertising agencies and brands
What you receive
Selected and edited photographs in the format and resolution agreed in the brief — usually within 7 working days, depending on the project. The price includes a one-year licence for online publication. Print files and advertising use — when agreed in the brief.
Questions
How much does a shoot cost?+
I prepare each quote individually. It depends on the building, the number of shots, the time of day and the scope of the licence.
Do you work outside Wrocław?+
Yes. Day to day I work in Wrocław and Lower Silesia, but for the right project, distance is no obstacle.
When is the best time to photograph a building?+
It depends on its orientation and materials. Before the shoot I check how the light moves across the façade and choose the time of day for that particular building. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we decide together — wait, or shoot in the conditions as they are — before I travel to the site.
Do you photograph buildings from above?+
Yes — from an elevated perspective, as part of an architectural shoot. I choose the height and viewpoint to suit the building and combine these views with street-level shots.
